PNW Plant-Based Eats

Hey friends! It’s time for another round of vegan eats in the PNW. Some of these restaurants are one hundred percent vegan while others are far from it (but now offering vegan/plant-based meals… can I get an AMEN?), but all of these places have the potential to leave you feeling satisfied and plant-powered to the max.

Tides Tavern Gig Harbor, WA: Located right on the water in downtown Gig Harbor, this local gem now carries a small selection of vegan items. Their summer menu offers the most AMAZING Vegan Veggie & Quinoa Bowl, featuring warm vegetables over a bed of quinoa and topped with a housemade green goddess dressing. This bowl is filling, delicious, and oh-so beautiful! In addition, their regular menu offers a Vegan Veggie Sandwich with whole wheat bread, hummus, avocado, veggies, and vegan cheese. Access the full menu here.

The Tides Tavern is a bar so it is 21+, but you can bring the kiddos to the dock if you choose to boat to your meal and stay out on the boat while you dine. If you do choose to eat outside, beer and wine are available, while the full bar menu is exclusive to inside the restaurant.

Chaco Canyon Seattle, WA: Get ready to DROOL, people. Chaco Canyon is a fully plant-based cafe with tons of gluten free, nut free, and allergen friendly options. There are multiple locations, such as West Seattle and Queen Anne. My personal favorite items from their menu are the avocado smoothie, chocolate chip banana bread, and the Hippie Bowl. The Hippie Bowl is my go-to meal. Loaded with quinoa, tofu, bean sprouts, tahini dressing, and more, this bowl is something I could eat daily and not get sick of. Check it out next time you’re in Seattle! Access the full menu here.

Nectar Cafe Portland, OR: Moving a little further south of Washington, we have this little vegan cafe with a shocking amount of variety on their menu. I recently stopped there for brunch and was blown away by how insane this vegan comfort food was. Nectar has a few gluten free options, tons of juices (I tried their green juice and very much enjoyed it), and super filling scrambles, sandwiches, salads, and MORE. Not to mention… they serve mimosas. Sold. Some items I highly recommend are the Brussel Sprout Salad, Portland Scramble, and Hollywood Scramble. Everything was a major success!
